Invitation to Meeting with Young Engineering Professionals

First of all, I would like to express our warmest congratulations to you being elected and appointed as the Chief Executive of the Sixth-Term Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

I, being an Election Committee Member (Engineering), have attended discussion forums during the Chief Executive’s election. Your election manifesto has identified the situation that we are facing with and your proposals are practical to be implemented in particular adopting a result-oriented approach. We are more than pleased to work with you and the HKSAR Government to turn Hong Kong from stability to prosperity in this term of Government.

The Association of Engineering Professional in Society (AES) has been established for 27 years for the promotion of engineers in the society, providing leadership training to young professionals and offering members opportunities to understand the development of the Mainland. You may have received the AES 25th Anniversary Documentary booklet which records the activities and contributions of AES. We are pleased to invite you to be the Principal Guest of Honour of the anniversary dinner of AES, which will be held in late 2022. Members of AES, guests in the engineering and construction field, and young members of other engineering institutions and societies would attend the dinner. We would be most grateful to meeting you to understand more about your plans in this term of HKSAR Government. The young engineering professionals would like to know more about opportunities for their future and for working with the HKSAR Government in improving the livelihood of Hong Kong citizens.

The AES anniversary dinner would be held in a hotel in either Admiralty or Wanchai, and would be on a date in the last quarter of 2022 suiting your busy schedule. We are looking forward to your favourable reply.
